MUNCH MACHINE: Feeding our community one bite at a time

  • 7,000 Billings Public School students are reliant on Free and Reduced school meals for daytime nutrition
  • 1,000+ students receive BackPack meals or access school pantries every week in Billings Public Schools for weekend and evening nutrition
  • For these students, school is their primary source of meals
  • Summertime meal programs are not accessible to all children for a variety of reasons
  • So we launched the MUNCH MACHINE! A Food Pantry on Wheels! Register for the program below. 

Serving Students in the Summer

Kids who aren't involved in summer programs and face food insecurity can register for the MUNCH MACHINE for weekly food supplies, include fresh produce, BackPack Meal Kits, shelf-stable foods, hygiene items, books and more!

Connecting with kids in need

Kids will register so we know who to visit and where to bring their food. We will also know if we don't see them when we're supposed to, meaning we can hopefully reconnect them to school during the summer, before school starts and a move or change becomes known.

Providing Quality and deliciousness!

Kids will receive quality items through the MUNCH MACHINE, items like apples and carrots, cheese sticks and yogurt, lunch meat and bread. We'll also supply shelf stable items to serve them through a full week until we come again. And books to keep them reading!

Registration for the munch machine is Closed

The Munch Machine has reached capacity this year and all new registrations will be put on a waiting list. Registration is required for this program so we can determine which students to visit and where to best serve them. If you have questions or need help determining if your student is a good fit, please call us at 406.281.5149.
