Saturday Live
Each year more than 10,000 people attend Saturday Live, a day-long, all-district outdoor carnival benefiting Billings public schools. This family-oriented event brings hundreds of volunteers, parents, educators, and business leaders together for the largest school carnival in the region.
rEADING ROCKS
The Foundation encourages summer reading by offering Reading Rocks, a program of reading activities for six weeks during the summer in conjunction with the School District II Free Lunch in the Parks.
classroom grants
The Foundation offers grants to educators in Billings Public School to encourage innovation and excellence in the schools. Applications must demonstrate effective instruction methods that inspire students to learn.
scholarships
The Foundation manages scholarship funds for both students and educators. Scholarship opportunities range from the Dewey Hansen, Karen Kruger Cox, Anne Lambrecht, Steve and Lorraine Marsh, Bonnie Slough, Leonardo Smith and Peter, Cook Memorial, Frank Family, Melissa Hart Weaver Inspirational Award and Zellah Yegen awards for high school students to the Roger Eble, Kathy Hill, and Jim Rickard awards for educators.
